The Bobby Charlton soccer and Sports academy have been running residential soccer courses for 31 years and on all our courses we make sure that each individual’s needs are met. We provide a safe, secure and disciplined environment, where each child matters. You can be assured that our staff will get to know the young people in their groups and make sure that they have the time of their lives.
We want to create a scenario where each person leaves the course having improved their football skills, but also through playing and interacting with coaches and other players from around the world, they learn so much more! For young people to achieve their potential we make the tasks set, enjoyable, challenging but achievable. Our staff take the youngster to their limit and then slowly push them through it, before setting a new challenge. This process is one that is shared between the coach and the player.
To ensure that each person makes progress through the week we initially group the players in their chronological age group. If throughout the week, the player demonstrates that he/she would benefit from moving either up a group or down a group, we will ensure that the move is made. This decision again would be in consultation with the player. Taking this model further, research tells us that, for each age group, there are recommended phases of learning which if kept to would ensure that your child develops at the right pace.
